SPP Development Ukraine showcases its investment portfolio at the Carpathian Economic Forum

On 18–19 September, Bukovel hosted the inaugural Carpathian Eight (C8) Summit, launching a new framework for regional cooperation between Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria and Serbia. Together, the C8 countries form an economic area of around 126 million people with a combined GDP of approximately USD 3.5 trillion.
The Summit included the Carpathian Economic Forum, where the participating countries presented a joint investment portfolio for the first time, bringing together nearly 100 projects worth more than €40 billion. The portfolio spans eight sectors: energy, industry, innovative technologies, transport and logistics, infrastructure and real estate, agrifood, healthcare and construction materials. Around half of the projects are energy-related.
At the invitation of Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy and Environment, SPP Development Ukraine was among the Ukrainian companies that presented their projects in the Forum’s Investment EXPO zone, which featured national pavilions from all eight C8 countries. The company presented a diversified portfolio of projects in the strategic areas of energy and infrastructure.
Ukraine’s portfolio at the Forum consists of 55 projects focused on four sectors: energy, industrial manufacturing, transport and logistics, and agrifood. During his visit to the EXPO zone, Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi highlighted to international partners that the Ukrainian businesses represented at the Forum continue to operate, invest and grow despite the ongoing war.
Ukraine’s Ministry for Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport, together with Ukrzaliznytsia, also presented a portfolio of public-private partnership projects in transport and municipal infrastructure.
The Forum brought together around 1,400 participants from 25 countries, including representatives of governments, international financial institutions and businesses. Over the two-day event, investment, financing and trade agreements worth more than €1 billion were reached, with almost half related to the energy sector. Ukraine’s Minister of Economy and Environment, Oleksandr Kravchenko, described the joint project portfolio as a long-term plan for Ukraine’s recovery.
The investment agencies of the C8 countries also established the Carpathian Investment Coalition to jointly develop projects and attract international capital. Ukraine also proposed the development of a dedicated EU Macro-Regional Strategy for the Carpathians.
For SPP Development Ukraine, the Forum provided a platform to meet with existing partners and deepen cooperation with them, as well as an opportunity to establish new connections with investors, financial institutions and companies across the region. Discussions at the event confirmed that the company’s chosen focus is aligned with the priorities shaping the region’s economic agenda.
The Carpathian region is increasingly being viewed as a space for joint investment in energy, infrastructure and trade between Ukraine and its European partners.
SPP Development Ukraine thanks the organisers for the invitation and will continue its cooperation with the initiative.
