Doing Business in Ukraine
The SPP Development Ukraine team, represented by Nadiia Petruchenko and Marharyta Sahalevych had the esteemed privilege to attend the conference “Doing Business in Ukraine: The Role of the Private Sector in Ukraine’s Economic Transformation” held in Washington DC.
This pivotal event was organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), supported by U.S. Trade and Development Agency and UkraineInvest – Ukraine Investment Promotion Office
The conference brought together a distinguished gathering of executives from the private sector, the Ukrainian government, international companies, the Biden Administration, and the U.S. Congress. The core discussions revolved around the immense business and trade potential between Ukraine and the U.S., as well as its G7 allies.
Particular emphasis was placed on the energy sector, underscoring its critical role in Ukraine’s forthcoming reconstruction.
We wish to convey our profound gratitude to Secretary Penny Pritzker the US Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery. Her insightful speech was not only motivational but also set forth a compelling vision. Her assertive stance and strategy for Ukraine’s rebuild—starting today—resonates deeply with us.
Moreover, our appreciation extends to the Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, Enoh T. Ebong. The role of USTDA in aiding Ukraine’s restoration cannot be overstated. We, along with the broader Ukrainian community, value their unwavering support and remain optimistic about our country’s imminent progress.
Our thanks also go out to UkraineInvest and specifically to CEO Sergiy Tsivkach for his tireless efforts in promoting business development. His endeavors in fostering investments and forging new partnerships for Ukraine during these challenging times are commendable.
Lastly, we are deeply grateful to the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) for their invitation and consistent support. It is an honor to be affiliated as members and to participate in events that bear significant implications for Ukrainian business and its overall national development.
