SPP Development Ukraine empowers young people across three communities in Volyn to drive environmental change

Young people from the Starovyzhivska, Dubivska, and Smidynska communities in the Volyn region gathered at the Keneberg Integration Centre to meet one another, exchange experiences, and develop shared environmental ideas for their communities. The discussions focused on environmental challenges affecting each community and practical solutions that could be implemented at the local level.

Another important topic was social entrepreneurship and the opportunities it offers for turning youth-led initiatives into action. The students created designs highlighting environmental issues in their communities and printed them on reusable tote bags. This gave local environmental challenges a clear visual form, while the tote bags became a way to raise awareness of these issues in everyday life.

For SPP Development Ukraine, it is important to create an environment where young people can freely express their views, discuss the challenges facing their communities, and work together to find practical solutions.
