SPP Development Ukraine signs a cooperation agreement with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

The agreement was signed by Nadiia Petruchenko, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of SPP Development Ukraine, and Anatolii Melnychenko, Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI).

The agreement marks the start of a long-term partnership that brings together engineering education, the energy industry, and local communities. It aims to create more opportunities for education, practical training, and future employment in the energy sector.

At the initial stage, the cooperation covers 13 educational programmes across three KPI institutes, with an indicative planning figure of around 37 prospective learners. The agreement provides a starting framework for a partnership model that the parties intend to further develop and expand.

Building on its long-standing experience of working with local communities, SPP Development Ukraine plans to work with employment centres in the communities where it operates to provide information about KPI educational programmes, Ukraine’s state education voucher programme and related career opportunities. The aim is to help candidates choose qualifications that match their abilities and professional ambitions while also responding to the needs of the university and the energy sector.

Financial support will be an important part of the cooperation. For learners eligible for the state programme, SPP Development Ukraine plans to co-finance the portion of tuition fees not covered by education vouchers and provide additional scholarships for agreed priority specialisations.

The partnership will also provide opportunities for practical training on SPP Development Ukraine projects and help create pathways from education into employment.

The partnership will also support young veterans whose education and career plans were interrupted by the war, as well as Ukrainians considering returning to Ukraine.
